Why do we need Cancer Awareness?

Cancer is a major cause of illness in Australia, there are over 1 million people alive in Australia who are either currently living with or have lived with cancer.
This number is expected to grow over time as both cancer incidence and cancer survival continue to increase.

In 2021, it is estimated that 150,782 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in Australia. It is estimated that around 2 in 5 people (or 43%) will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.

Influenced by population growth and older people becoming a larger proportion of the population (Australia’s ageing population), the number of new cases of cancer diagnosed is estimated to increase to 185,000 in 2031.

Why choose to support F Cancer Australia? And who are we?

The F Cancer Australia project was born after, like many others, we found ourselves saying ‘F Cancer’, when we lost family members to Cancer.

We also love that ‘F’ stands for FIGHT! And love promoting this sentiment while giving others the opportunity to proudly represent this by wearing it loud & proud, while also raising awareness for their selected Cancer.

What makes us unique is that we are dedicated to providing hope and are determined to spreading awareness for as many types of cancers as we can!

10% from each product sold is proudly donated to Cancer Council NSW - Cancer Council provide support for Cancer patients, as well as their carers, family & friends. They are Australia’s leading cancer charity & provide phenomenal awareness and support for all cancers.

You can help by liking our page on Facebook or purchasing cancer awareness merchandise from our online store.
